A free UK wealth calculator that goes further than your banking app. Add your property, pensions, ISAs, vehicles and debts to work out what you are actually worth. Everything stays in your browser — nothing is sent or saved.
Round to the nearest thousand. You can always come back and refine.
Working out the pension part on its own? Use the UK pension calculator — it converts a final-salary promise and the State Pension into comparable figures.
Yes, completely, and there is nothing to sign up for. The numbers you type never leave your browser — there is no account, no email capture and nothing saved on our side.
In practice, none. Both describe the same sum: everything you own minus everything you owe. “Wealth” is the word the ONS uses in its official statistics; “net worth” is the word most personal finance tools use. This calculator answers either question.
Everything you own of real value, not just what sits in a bank account. That means the equity in your home (its current value minus the outstanding mortgage), all three UK pension types, ISAs and investments held anywhere, and vehicles — then subtract mortgages, loans, car finance and credit card balances. Property and pensions alone are roughly three quarters of household wealth in Great Britain, and neither is visible to a bank feed.
The Office for National Statistics Wealth and Assets Survey measures household wealth across the same four categories this calculator uses: property, private pensions, net financial wealth and physical wealth. That is deliberate, so your number is comparable with the published medians. If you want to see where you sit for your age group, we have written up the average UK net worth by age.
Accurate enough to be defendable. Portal estimates are automated models trained largely on asking prices; lenders use the HM Land Registry House Price Index, which is free and published monthly. Our guide to Land Registry HPI versus Zoopla shows the arithmetic.
